New York is set to roll out its first bike-sharing network in the city’s first full year, with a full fleet of nearly 1,000 bikes to be delivered by 2021.
The first stations will open on April 1st, and will offer free access to free WiFi and free shuttle service.
New Yorkers will be able to rent bikes and use them for the next year at stations that have been specially set up.
In addition, all bikes will be insured and fully registered for five years.
The system is expected to be able get 1.5 million trips a day, according to the New York Times.
